Exposing Political Persecution in America, Defending Due Process & Protecting Fairness in the Justice System.
On January 6, 2021, Americans exercised their First Amendment rights. Since then, many have faced severe repercussions, with numerous individuals deprived of their liberties—raising serious concerns about due process and equal justice under the law.
The justice system should never be used as a tool for intimidation or unfair punishment. Yet today, lawfare is eroding due process—compromising the fundamental principle that every American is entitled to a fair and impartial legal system. Due process ensures that laws are applied equally, rights are protected, and justice is not influenced by bias or overreach.
The Patriot Freedom Project is committed to upholding constitutional rights and challenging legal overreach, particularly in cases where due process is at risk. We believe in equal justice, fairness, and the rule of law for all Americans.
We cannot stand by as due process is undermined. It’s time to restore fairness, uphold constitutional protections, and ensure that justice is truly blind.

About the founder
Cynthia Hughes is the founder of Patriot Freedom Project and Weaponization Watch, two nationally recognized initiatives dedicated to supporting families devastated by political targeting and government overreach. Cynthia’s journey into advocacy began abruptly and painfully when her nephew was unlawfully arrested, denied bond, and stripped of Due Process for nonviolent actions connected to his attendance at the U.S. Capitol on January 6. Thrust into a crisis no family should ever endure, Cynthia refused to stand by. Instead, she stepped forward.
As she fought to protect her nephew, Cynthia uncovered the widespread collateral damage—children left without parents, families losing their homes, careers destroyed, and ordinary Americans languishing behind bars with no voice and no help. With urgency and conviction, she built Patriot Freedom Project into the leading national charity focused on supporting January 6 families, offering direct aid, legal resources, and emotional support when the rest of the world turned its back.
Cynthia’s relentless advocacy gained the attention of major figures in the political and legal world. Her work has been publicly acknowledged and supported by U.S. Pardon Attorney Ed Martin, who has partnered with her closely, and by President Donald J. Trump, who has recognized the vital role she has played in bringing truth, compassion, and accountability to the forefront.
Today, through Weaponization Watch, Cynthia has expanded her mission to expose, document, and combat government weaponization and lawfare affecting Americans nationwide. Her leadership, courage, and unyielding dedication have made her one of the most trusted and effective voices fighting for justice, transparency, and the restoration of constitutional rights.
Cynthia Hughes continues her work every day—with heart, with grit, and with the unwavering belief that no American should ever be abandoned by their own government.
